Porter Byrum
(1920-2017)
Porter B. Byrum (JD ’42), an attorney, businessman and philanthropist from Charlotte, N.C., passed away on March 27, 2017. He was 96. No person has been a more generous benefactor to Wake Forest, whose lifetime giving was more than $120 million – all of which he gave for scholarships.
